Talasani Srinivas Yadav, the Cinematography Minister of Telangana State, has said that there is no permission to hold benefit shows of 'Baahubali-2'.
Earlier in the day, there were reports that special shows will be there in single screens and multiplexes. It enthused many fans. However, the Minister's statement made some time ago has disappointed them.
"The permission is only for five shows to be held from April 28," the Minister has said, adding that hiking ticket prices either directly or indirectly by floating special offers won't be tolerated by the government.
In contrast to this decision by T Govt, the Andhra Pradesh govt has permitted hiking of ticket prices. In multiplexes, Rs. 150 and Rs. 200 worth tickets can be sold for Rs. 200 and Rs. 250. In others, Rs. 70, Rs. 90 and Rs. 150 worth tickets can be sold for Rs. 100, Rs. 150 and Rs. 200, respectively.
