Sreenu Vaitla has admitted that Baadshah has more massy elements than any of his previous movies. It means that he is showing NTR as a furious mass hero, and fittingly so.

"Definitely, the film has more action than my previous films had. It was a story written with NTR in mind. I have given more importance to mass elements. There are many surprises in store. Be it the costumes, acting and facial expressions, NTR is totally new. I am using his immense talent to the utmost," the director says about Tollywood's most expensive film ever.

He says that he has known NTR since the days of Anandam. "He came into films around the same time as I made Anandam. He very affectionately refers to me as 'annayya.' Though I always wanted to make a film with him, it materialized only with Baadshah," he says.
