B.A. Pass

`BA Pass' is based on one of the stories, The Railway Aunty (by Mohan Sikka), from the book Delhi Noir, an anthology (collections of short stories) based mainly in and around Delhi-NCR, which was published in 2010. It impressed the producer-director Ajay Bahl so much that he decided to make a full-fledged feature film titled `BA Pass'.

An erotic human drama, a first of its kind in Hindi Cinema, `BA Pass' features Shilpa Shukla, Rajesh Sharma and Dibyendu Bhattacharya and introduces Shadab Kamal.

However, `BA Pass' is not just another (erotic) film, which encashes and emphasises on sex unnecessarily or showcases sensuality to titillate, as is the norm in conventional films. Despite its dark subject & being an erotic drama at heart, `BA Pass' showcases erotica in its truest sense, without accentuating bosom thrusts and pelvic moves into the camera right onto the viewer's face. `BA Pass' raises the bar of showcasing love-making scenes like nobody has done before in the milieu of Indian Cinema.

Event before its release, the film created waves across film festivals and sweeping an array of International and National Awards including Winner of Best Film and Best Actor Award at 12th Osian's Cinefan Film Festival 2012, Winner of PRIX DU PUBLIC - Voted best film by the French Audience at Festival Du Film D' Asie Du Sud Transgressif 2013 (South Asian Alternative Film Festival 2013-Paris), Winner Best Actor in Supporting role - South Asian Film Festival- New Jersey 2012, In Competition at Montreal World Film Festival 2012, Kolkata International Film Festival 2012, Bangalore International Film Festival 2012, Official Selection at St Petersburg International Film Festival 2012, Jeonju International film Festival, South Korea 2013 and many more.

`BA Pass' is slated to release on 2nd August 2013.
