Mollywood filmmaker Sachy, who was admitted to hospital in critical condition after he faced a heart attack following a hip surgery, passed away on Thursday. Thrissur Jubilee Mission Hospital, where he was admitted on June 16, breathed his last on June 18 at 9.30 p.m.
Sachy, had undergone a total hip replacement surgery in a private hospital. Soon after the surgery, he developed complications. He had a cardiac arrest and brain damage before his second surgery and was rushed to the Jubilee Mission Hospital. He was admitted to the critical care unit and was on ventilator support for the last two days.
Sachy, had delivered several hits in Malayalam cinema. His latest directorial Ayyappanum Koshiyum was a critically acclaimed box-office hit that is prepping up for remakes in other languages as well. His other hits are Driving License, Ramaleela, Run Baby Run, Chocolate, Robin Hood, among his scripts. Anarkali was his maiden directorial venture.
