Mollywood filmmaker Sachy, who recently directed the superhit movie 'Ayyappanum Koshiyum', has been hospitalised and in critical stage. The filmmaker who had hip surgery on June 15, was rushed to a private hospital in Thrissur early on June 16 after having suffered a cardiac arrest.
According to an interview on TOI given by Sachy's friend and scriptwriter Sethu, the director suffered a heart attack that led to brain damage and is currently in ventilator support. “He is critical. He is currently in the critical care unit and is on ventilator support. We haven’t done a surgery when he got here; the surgery must have been done in another hospital. He was brought here after a cardiac arrest and he has suffered damage to his brain due to that. To assess the damage, we are getting the CT scan results now.”
Sethu's friends from the industry including Prithviraj and Biju Menon had been to the hospital. More details are awaited.
