Popular Mollywood actor Anil Nedumangad passed away on December 25. The 48-year-old actor died by accidental drowning when he went to bathe in the Malankara dam in Thodupuzha.

The incident took place around 6 p.m. Anil Nedumangad was at Thodupuzha for the shooting of an upcoming movie starring Joju George. During the shooting break of the movie, he went to bathe in the dam along with his friends. Though his friends managed to survive and rushed him to a private hospital in Thodupuzha, the actor was declared dead on arrival. The body will be shifted to the district hospital.

Anil Nedumangad is a household name among Keralites. The actor shot to fame with his effortless performances in several movies such as Kammattipadam, Njan Steve Lopez, Kismatthetc. The actor who has acted in over 30 films in the last 6 years, was last seen playing a pivotal role in late director Sachy's superhit Ayyappanum Koshiyum.
