Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana is undoubtedly one of the finest actors of the country, and is usually credited for his unique choice of scripts and for playing a league of his own in the cine industry. His path to success, however, has not been linear as he has apparently had to overcome numerous hurdles along the way.
Ayushmann has narrated one such incident in an interview with an entertainment portal where he reportedly mentioned being sexually harassed by a casting director. "A casting director had told me, 'I'll give you the lead role if you showed me your tool.' I told him I'm straight and I politely refused his offer," the actor opened up regarding his casting couch experience. Ayushmann recently joined other Bollywood stars, including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Madhuri Dixit Nene for a digital concert to raise funds for the frontliners working round-the-clock to contain the coronavirus pandemic in the country.
The #MeToo movement that began over a year ago, has been exposing the sexual predators in the entertainment industry and started gaining momentum as victims of the field started coming forward with their stories, especially since a few of the well-known actors/directors were named as sexual abusers.
