'Doctor G' is one of Ayushmann Khurrana's many exciting upcoming projects and he has been working on this since April last year. Also starring Rakul Preet Singh, Shefali Shah and others, the film is said to be a campus comedy drama and it will feature Ayushmann and Rakul as doctors.

The latest buzz about the project suggests that makers have locked on to a date for its release. A recent report in Pinkvilla read, "Doctor G is targeting a theatrical release on October 14, 2022. The final call on the date will be taken in a couple of days and be followed by an official announcement.

On Diwali there will be a box office clash of Ajay Devgan's 'Thank God' and Akshay Kumar's 'Ram Setu'. Makers of 'Doctor G' are hoping to avoid that clash by release their film 10 days earlier. Apart from that, 'Thank God' will also star Rakul Preet so it is going to be a back to back release for the actress.
