Ayushmann Khurrana and Rakul Preet Singh's upcoming film 'Doctor G' now has a release date. It is going to hit the theatres on 17th of June 2022. Directed by Anurag Kashyap's sister Anubhuti Kashyap, the film is supposed to be a lighthearted campus comedy. Ayushmann shared a picture of himself and Rakul sporting doctor's coats and wrote, "Get ready to book your appointment in cinemas on 17th June 2022 as @rakulpreet @shefalishahofficial and I come together for #DoctorG."

The buzz suggests that Ayushmann is going to play a gynecologist in the film and Rakul will play his senior. Seasoned actress Shefali Shah also plays a pivotal role in the film. Ayushmann announced the film in December 2020 and it went on floor earlier this year.

Talking about her preparation for the part, Rakul Preet said, "Shooting for Doctor G has turned out to be an interesting experience. Since I play a doctor, the mannerisms and actions needed to be precise. It was mandatory to learn important things related to the medical world to make it look real on screen. The journey of becoming Doctor Fatima was an amazing process which I will cherish forever.”
