Ayodhya: Shivaling, pillars, idols found at Ram Temple construction site

For decades, the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid area in Ayodhya was disputed. Last year, a Supreme Court verdict gave the land to Hindu parties and allowed for the construction of a temple for Lord Ram at Ram Janmasthan.
In what has been described as an important development, at the once-disputed site, a five-foot Shivaling, seven pillars of black touchstone, six pillars of red sandstone and broken idols of Devi-Devtas were found on Wednesday, as per Republic.Com.
Many years ago, the Archaeological Survey of India said that it had found the remains of an ancient temple beneath the site where the now-demolished Babri Masjid once stood.
With the latest findings at the temple site (by the VHP, not by the ASI), there is some more evidence that the site where the Babri Masjid once stood had a temple for sure. Social media influencer @attomeybharti says that the latest findings vindicate the findings of archaeologist KK Muhammed, who resisted immense pressure from the Left ecosystem, and stood by the truth. It was KK Muhammed who had argued in the 1990s that there is historical evidence to prove that the disputed site indeed belongs to Hindus.
As per some commentators, the findings prove that Marxist historians have always been peddling falsehoods. Swarajya columnist Pratyasha Rath opines, Remember the names. Romila Thapar, DN Jha, and Irfan Habib. And let future generations know in clear terms that they were not just frauds but bigots who had set out to dismiss and erase Hindu identity. Remember the sham that secularism in this country is and how sinister it is.
