Ayodhya case: SC rejects all review petitions

The Supreme Court of India today rejected all 18 petitions that had sought a review of the Ayodhya land dispute case, which was delivered on November 9. The verdict gave the disputed land to Hindus, paving the way for the construction of a Ram Mandir.

A five-member bench headed by Chief Justice SA Bobde reviewed the review petitions and held that there is no merit in them. The petitioners, mainly the All India Muslim Personal Law Board and the Nirmohi Akhara, will now have recourse to a curative petition.

The AIMPLB said in its review petition that justice hasn't been meted out to the Muslim parties.
