Ayan Mukerji's ambitious big budget SciFi 'Brahmastra' is under production for an eternity now. Fortunately, the filming is in final stage now and Nagarjuna Akkineni has even announced the wrap up on his part. According to recent developments, visionary Ayan Mukerji has already started to work on the script of a sequel.

Ayan is exploring the possibility of introducing a new charismatic character for the sequel. The character will be named Dev and he'll have superpowers just like Ranbir Kapoor's Shiva. Ayan started brainstorming about the sequel during the Covid-19 lockdown. Although there hasn't been any casting decision for Dev but its sure that he'll be played by an A list actor.

According to a source close to the film, "Brahmastra is the journey of Shiva, while part two will be about another character, Dev, who is also blessed with unique superpowers. The makers are looking to cast an actor from the top bracket for the sequel as well, in fact, they have already started conversations with some A-List superstars."
