Earlier this week, 'AWE' director Prasanth Varma said that he has already penned the script of 'AWE-2' and that the script, however, hasn't found any takers. "Thank you so much for your interest in the project. I have almost finished writing the script, which is crazier than 'AWE'. I haven't been able to mount it because I haven't found a producer whose craziness matches that of the script. Trust me, guys, I really tried. So, it happens when it happens," Varma said.
After this, many on social media speculated that Nani, who produced 'AWE', must have rejected the script. Clarifying on the issue, Varma today said, "I didn’t approach Nani garu for #Awe2 as he is only keen on introducing new talent through Wall Poster Cinema. Hope that clears some speculations."
Nani has indeed not been showing interest in known or old names in Tollywood. For example, his upcoming production venture, 'HIT', has been written and directed by a newcomer. The film releases on February 28.
I didn’t approach @NameisNani garu for #Awe2 as he is only keen on introducing new talent through @walpostercinema . Hope that clears some speculations. ✌️
