The issue that is threatening to stop the release of Thalapathy Vijay's grand 61st film 'Mersal' may end today. The committee formed by the Animal Welfare Board of India generally meets on the Wednesday of every week to issue No Objection Certificates for films that have used animals. Sources reveal that today the Board's committee will be meeting at 10 am in Chennai to discuss about issuing the NOC to 'Mersal' as it is required for getting the Censor certificate for the film which is necessary to release the film in theaters.

A positive outcome is expected to arrive today after the meeting and everyone is waiting with bated breath for book FDFS tickets for 'Mersal' to celebrate Deepavali in theaters.

'Mersal' directed by Atlee is the 100 production venture of Thenandal Studios Limited.
