The value of awards and honours is significant in the world of art. However, it is upon individual artists how much importance they give to this aspect of their career. While some actors consider awards to be the main incentive of doing good job on screen, there are some like Nawazuddin Siddiqui who consider them a secondary outcome of excelling in your field.
In a recent media interaction, Nawazuddin Siddiqui stated that awards have their own importance in his career but he doesn't keep tabs on how many and which ones he have won. According to a report in Koimoi, Nawaz said, “I don’t keep a tab on my recognition or awards but it definitely motivates me and helps to select the kind of films or characters that I choose to do. Awards and recognition gives me confidence to select my work.”
Nawaz has often represented India on international Award shows with his phenomenal performances. His films often get screened in major film festivals like Cannes, Berlin and others and recently he also bagged an Emmy nominations for his performance in the film 'Serious Men'.
