Megastar Chiranjeevi has been feted with the IFFI Indian Film Personality of the Year Award for 2022 by the Indian government. Pawan Kalyan was the first film and political heavyweight to congratulate the 'GodFather' actor on the recognition.

The Jana Sena Party chief described Chiru as a towering cine personality who has reached the greatest heights. The 'Bheemla Nayak' actor added that the award is yet another jewel in Chiru's crown.

"Over a journey spanning four decades, 'annayya' has molded himself constantly and has found a permanent place in the hearts of the audience. It's a great honour that he has been recognized on an international platform," Pawan said via his party.

Among dignitaries, Telangana Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan wrote, "God will bless you with many more laurels in the future for your dedication to the film industry and your great sense of gratitude to serve your fans alongside Society at large." The 'Waltair Veerayya' actor thanked the "Madam Governor".
