It was a touching and tearful condolence meet on the passing away of legendary Smt Parvathamma Rajakumar at Gururaja Kalyana Mantapa, organized by Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce on Monday morning.

The producers, distributors, artists and technicians took part in the condolence meet that went on from 11.30 to 2.30 pm.

The popular producer and close to Dr Rajakumar family, Rockline Venkatesh remembering his early days said knowing the family well, following the principles of Smt Parvathamma Rajakumar, producer of nearly 80 films and the main backbone in the career of icon Dr Rajakumar – the government of India should set up an award in the name of Parvathamma Rajakumar` award. This national award would be the right honor for the contribution of Smt Parvathamma Rajakumar stated Rockline. His suggestion was approved by other speakers Thara Anuradha, Dr Jayamala, Sa Ra Govindu and others.

Remembering the most difficult time of Dr Rajakumar kidnap by Veerappan for 108 days, Rockline Venkatesh narrated the incident of Parvathamma speaking over telephone to Dr Rajakumar after 103 days of captivity.
