Award for short films, Team Shanker Nag effort

A group of software engineers with great admiration to late Shanker Nag, actor, director and unique thinker whom we lost 27 years ago is giving a tribute to him in the second year in succession.

Anil Kumar and friends formed an association to encourage short films made in Kannada, Konkani, Tulu, Kodava, Lambani languages. They have received 75 entries and the grand event is on 9th of November, birth anniversary of late Shanker Nag.

Director of Kempirve, Venkat Bharadwaj, Vinod Raj, Dinesh, Naveen Thirthahalli, Krishna Sankula are there in the committees to pick best ones. There will be youth award from this year. Rapid Lakshmi RJ and Hemanth Jois of Udupi get this honor.

Senior actors Rajesh, Ramesh Bhat, Ganesh, Dattanna, KFCC President Sa Ra Govindu, Umesh Banakar and others take part.

Team Shanker Nag heads Anil Kumar is intending to make a film ‘Lakshmi Interview’ with his story, screenplay, dialogue and direction. Comedy Kiladigalu Nayana is female lead. Other members of the team selection is in progress.
