Ace actor of Indian cinema with roots from Karnataka Prakash Rai was seen in Bengaluru to pay homage to Gauri Lankesh death. He was seen at the SAMSA where body of Gauri Lankesh was kept for public viewing and later he went to the burial ground. Prakash Rai shared a good platform with P Lankesh family and he has been voracious reader of all the literature of P Lankesh.

The news that comes for him in this sad moment is Dr Karanth birthplace award. It is given jointly by Kotatattu Gram Panchayat and Dr Karanth Birthplace Foundation in memory of Gnanapith Award winner Kota Shivarama Karanth. The award is given annually in October month since 2005.

On October 10 at Kota the award will be given to Prakash Rai says the Dr Karanth Huttur Foundation executive President C Kundar in a media meet on Wednesday.
