Marvel Studios has officially signed on Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely to pen the script for 'Avengers: Infinity War' Parts 1 & 2.

The writing duo's next has currently begun production yesterday in the form of 'Captain America: Civil War' and their previous writing credits for Marvel include the 'Captain America: Winter Soldier' released successfully last year. Incidentally, it must be noted that all four projects have been in association of the films' directors Joe and Anthony Russo. In addition, both Christopher and Stephen also created Marvel's 'Agent Carter' TV series and co-wrote 'Thor: The Dark World'.

While making the announcement, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige had this to say, “Chris and Steve have been an integral part of the Marvel family since the early days of Phase 1, and their work speaks for itself. We couldn`t be more excited to have them with us to help guide the Avengers through their biggest story yet.”

'Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1' will hit theaters on May 4th, 2018 and 'Avengers: Infinity War - Part 2' arrives on May 3, 2019.
