Don't worry. This is a spoiler free zone. Either you've seen the latest Marvel movie on the big screens or just waiting to get your hands on a ticket (good luck!). We have something that might interest you meanwhile. A compiled list of super mad facts that you have to know about the personal life of the most powerful force in the universe, Thanos!
The sad scary story around his birth…
The mad titan was born as an Eternal on the planet Titan. While most of the inhabitants resembled humans, Thanos was eh…well… not a bit like them? He had deviant syndrome giving him that grey skin. Growing up, he would’ve definitely developed a complex considering that he was the opposite of what his handsome brother Eros was. Maybe, it drove the guy nuts. He made himself so strong that he nuked his birth planet, also killing his mother and becoming the dictator of the remaining survivors(unresolved complexes anybody?) Truly a scary back story…
He had a creepy brother…
Sure we all have our sibling rivalries. But Thanos really did have a creepy brother with respect to today's standards. He had a brother named Starfox who had sex-based superpowers. Starfox's real name was Eros who had the superpower to control the pleasure centre of human brains, which enabled him to be quite the ladies' man. Imagine that in our consent-based atmosphere- that would be termed as 'downright creepy!'
Big guys have deep insecurities too…
Apparently for a guy who could knock out anyone that dared to step against him, he too had his worst enemy. Himself. From comics we discover that Thanos has always had a deep rooted desire to fail or be defeated as he considers himself to be not worthy of the powers he so possesses. Don’t worry, big guy. Everybody's got issues. Ain't fellas?
His love life…
Aha. Yes. The mad titan has also fallen deeply, madly in love with… DEATH. Literally. No kidding! He falls in love with the embodiment of Death, depicted usually to be a human woman who rules the afterlife. What more, Thanos and Death also did have ups and downs in their relationship. Once they broke up and Death banned Thanos from her realm. Which means Thanos could not die no matter what kind of damage he suffered. The ban has since been lifted. Their kid's name is Rot. Hmm..like Rot to Death? Get it? Haha.
A responsible father despite a busy schedule…
Forget movie stars and how they find time to devote to their children. Here’s Thanos giving them all a run for their money topping it in the father department as well. In between serious missions, the 6’7 tall 985 lbs weighing monster of a villain knows how to take a chill pill once in a while and go off in a holiday mood. From comics we learn that once Thanos trying to appease his daughter Gamora, presented her with a toy on a holiday that almost looks like Christmas. Something all those busy superheroes should learn, right!
Well, that's Thanos for you guys. Not just a super villain, but also a 'person' like the rest of us who had his good reasons to become what he became. What do you like most about Thanos? What do you hate about him? What do you think of ‘Avengers: Endgame’? Don't forget to comment them below!
