James Cameron's directorial ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ is touted to be a magnum opus. Presented by 20th Century Studios, the film is going to hit the screens worldwide on December 16 this year.
On Thursday, the Hollywood project's title logo was released. Talking about the film's premise, the makers said that the much-awaited behemoth narrates the story of the Sully family, which is steeped in its own set of issues.
Bankrolled by Cameron and Jon Landau, 'Avatar' is touted to be a roller-coaster ride. The film will be made available in multiple formats to usher in a new user experience. From high resolution and high frame rates to 3D, Imax, PLF, and different sound systems, it will be released in 160 languages across the world, including Telugu.
Featuring the likes of Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, this film will be preceded by the re-release of 'Avatar' on September 23. "Released in 2009, Cameron’s Avatar quickly became the top-grossing film of all time at the worldwide box office, with more than $2.8 billion," Hollywood Reporter today said.
