James Cameron has been on a long shooting schedule for his 'Avatar' sequels in New Zealand and has wrapped up for the year which has been quite tumultuous for the project due to the coronavirus pandemic. He has been sharing photos from the sets and has done the same after wrapping up for the year.
James Cameron has written "The last set for 2020 filming —The Matador (a 50’ forward command boat) on a 16-ton, 360 degree motion-control base. Three Technocranes and a Russian Arm mounted on top of a Mercedes-Benz. Just another day on the set of the Avatar sequels. (credit @jonlandau) "
Earlier another pic was shared by the official handle that had Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Kate Winslet, and Cliff Curtis taking a break from underwater performance capture for a quick photo! Fun fact: Much of the performance capture took place in this 900,000-gallon tank, built specifically for the sequels.".
'Avatar 2' has been slated for release on December 16th, 2022 while the third, fourth and the fifth parts will follow in the coming years. 'Avatar' was released in the year 2009 and it has taken eleven years for the sequels to go on floor mainly due to Cameron waiting for technology to catch up with his vision.
