James Cameron-directed 'Avatar' is up for a theatrical re-release. The epic adventure, which was originally released in the year 2009, is now going to hit the screens again on Sept 23.

This time, the film is going to be released as a remastered version in 4K High Dynamic Range. The makers unveiled a trailer while making the announcement.

The film stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Stephen Lang, Michelle Rodriguez and Sigourney Weaver. Produced by James Cameron and Jon Landau, it was famously nominated for nine Academy Awards (better called in popular terms Oscar awards). It received nominations in the Best Picture and Best Director categories, and won three Oscars (in the Best Cinematography, Production Design and Visual Effects categories).

Meanwhile, Avatar's new edition 'The Way of Water' will hit the screens on December 16. Starring Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement, and Kate Winslet, the film's trailer was released a few months ago. Wherever we go, this family is our fortress, is the one line from the trailer that has caught the imagination of the fans of the James Cameron directorial.
