We all know that 'Avatar: The Way of Water' is slated to hit the big screens worldwide on December 16. Avatar is a 2009 path-breaking film franchise in cinema history that is a pioneer in VFX directed by James Cameron. It was earlier reported that Avatar 1 will have a re-release ahead of the sequel's release.
Recently, Disney and 20th Century announced that Avatar is coming back to cinemas worldwide on September 23. The latest update is that the epic sci-fi movie is remastered in 4K High Dynamic Range format. The makers unveiled a new poster and trailer ahead of the film's re-release. Avatar will be available on big screens for a limited time, that is two weeks only.
According to sources, Disney has removed Avatar from the streaming platforms ahead of the theatrical re-release. However, it will return to the studio’s streaming platform at a later date just before the release of 'Avatar: The Way of Water'. The movie will still be available to rent digitally on select OTT spaces.
