It takes either lIlayaraja or Yuvan Shankar Raja to compose music for a Bala film. Or at least this is the trend from `Sethu' till `Avan Ivan' and let's hope this would continue to give us good music.
Coming to the just launched `Avan Ivan' album, it is a collection of five songs, carefully crafted by Yuvan to cater to the demands of Bala. For, in the music composer's own words, "It's hard to satisfy Bala sir with tunes but he is happy with the output for Avan Ivan."

Singer: Haricharan
Haricharan's voice gels well with Na Muthukumar's words to present us a beautiful song, which eminently speaks about Yuvan's talent. Describing the feeling of love, the song starts on a mild note and picks up momentum as it progresses. And it captures a place in our heart too.
2. Dia Dia Dole - Listen here
Singer: Suchithra
What else can a bubbly song could we expect when it is Suchitra at the helm of affairs. Dance lovers can't stop shaking their legs while listening to this folk number, which, in other words, can also be described as Tamil rap.
3. Oru Malayoram - Listen here
Singers: Vijay Yesudas, Baby Priyanka, Baby Srinisa & Baby Nithyashree
If the first two are solo numbers, here comes a song crooned by Vijay Yesudas in the company of three young singers. A soothing melody, `Oru Malayoram.' could take you to a wonderland if you listen to it by closing your eyes. And you might also see Illayaraja there.
4. Mudhal Murai - Listen here
Singer: Vijay Prakash
A typical Bala song, expressing the grief of life. Vijay Prakash has given the number the right modulation, with Yuvanshankar Raja's music and Muthukumar's lyrics adding more emotions.
5. Avanapathi - Listen here
Singers: T L Maharajan & Sathyan
An energetic end to the album, `Avanapathi.' is celebration of effervescent beats. Arya and Vishal should have danced together for this number on screen. The song pumps in loads of energy right from the beginning till the end.
Songs from Bala's films never failed to disappoint us. The director has repeated the magic this time too and the credit goes to Yuvan Shankar Raja.
