In August2014, actor-director R.Parthiepan tasted success with his directorial venture `Kadhai Thirakkadhai Vasanam Iyakkam` which received rave reviews from critics for its novel conten. The same month this year Parthiepan is back with a film but as an actor and not as a director.

Tihar` directed by Perarsu of Tirupachi` and Sivakasi` fame is scheduled to hit the screens on August 21.This film stars Parthiepan in the central character of a dreadful don. Newbie Priyanka plays the role of his wife in the film.

Newcomer Unni Mukundan and Akanksha Poori play the lead roles in this film. The supporting cast includes M.S.Basker, Manoj.K.Jayan, Riyas Khan and Devan among others.

The film is touted to be filled with raw action sequences canned in vintage Perarasu style.
