What we have now is a film with a real different name. Yup! It’s ‘Attu’.

‘Attu’ means a youth who cannot be controlled by anyone or anything. The whole movie is set in North Chennai, say the film’s crew.

On behalf of Ants Works Limited, M V Praveen and R Manimaran are teaming to produce this big-budget movie with fresh faces.

Steven, who directed a host of short films and ads, is making his foray to silver- screen with ‘Attu’. He has penned the story, screenplay and dialogue besides directing the movie.

Vettrivel, an associate of cinematographer Mahesh Muthusamy, who worked with him in a lot of films including Chithiram Pesuthadi, Anjathey, Nandalala and a Bollywood venture Risk, is cranking the camera for the first time.

Bobo Sasi, son of music composer Murali, who also scored music for ‘Kulir 100’, is composing for this one for the lyrics of Na Muthukumar and Thamarai. J P K Prem is the art director, while L V K Das handles editing and stunt is by Power Pandian.

Hmmm… Now do we call ‘Attu’ a Tamil movie or Chennai Tamil movie?
