After a brief interval, actress Gayathri Jayaram is making a comeback in Malluwood.

She made her debut with Salperu Ramankutty opposite Jayaram and soon faded away. Now she is acting in Lokanathan IAS opposite Kalabhavan Mani.

On her role, she says, 'I play Durga Devi, an assistant commissioner of police.' Having acted in Malayalam and Tamil movies, she says, 'an actress is an expensive set property in Tamil. She appears briefly on screen.

Romances around trees in skimpy clothes and disappears. Whereas in Malayalam , she is always part of the story and has more scope to perform'.

Very acerbic observations indeed.
