'Attarintiki Daredi' creates History In The US Markets

Taran Adarsh of Bollywood Hungama reported that the Telugu film ATTARINTIKI DAREDI has created History in U.S.A., smashing all previous records and setting new ones. The film features in 'Top 15 grossers' this weekend i.e., September 27 - 29 at North American Box office, a feat which is a rarity for an Indian film. Prior to ATTARINTIKI DAREDI, only CHENNAI EXPRESS and YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI had featured in the Top 15 list this year in their respective opening weekends.

The past two months have been the longest for the Power Star Pawan Kalyan fans across the world since the movie has been postponed succumbing to political pressures. The thirst could have also worked as a factor in helping the movie in raking the openings it had. The movie opened to over 2000 screens across the world but fifth day on, still running housefuls in single screens and multiplexes alike. The film has already raised the bar by several notches and it would be now an open challenge for the other heroes to try and match the benchmark the film has set.
