Atlee one of the top commercial directors in Tamil cinema is also one of the highest paid. After delivering three back to back blockbuster hits with Thalapathy Vijay namely 'Theri', 'Mersal' and 'Bigil' he has moved to Bollywood for 'Jawan' one of the biggest budgeted films under production. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan, Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Priyamani and Deepika Padukone with Anirudh scoring the music.

Atlee was the favorite to direct Thalapathy Vijay in 'Thalapathy 68' but due to the delay in 'Jawan' release from June 2nd to September 7th this year he is likely to join with his favorite hero for 'Thalapathy 69' or 'Thalapathy 70'.

Meanwhile the hot news has come in that after 'Jawan' Atlee is likely to produce a Hindi film along with Murad Khetani that will have Varun Dhawan in the lead role. It is said to be a quickie youthful entertainer that will go on floors in August and hit the screens in Summer 2024. It is not clear if Atlee will also direct the film or give the reigns to someone else. Lets wait for the official confirmationa of this news.

Varun Dhawan in currently acting with Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the Indian version of 'Citadel' directed by Raj and DK and produced by The Russo Brothers. The original has Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden in the lead roles and is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
