Atithi Tum Kab Jaaoge? - A book inspired

The tittle-tattle was making rounds about ÂAtithi Tum Kab Jaaoge? alleged inspirations. Earlier, reports had assumed that this Ajay Devgn-Konkona Sen starrer is a remake of a Hollywoodmovie. However the producer Kumar Mangat cleared the issue by stating the movie is a book inspired.
ÂAtithi Tum Kab Jaaoge? is said to be based on Tum Kab Jaaoge Atithi, a short story written by well-known satirist Late Sharad Joshi. Amita said that they havenÂt yet revealed any First Look or Poster of the film, but only a working still of the film. ÂIt may look similar to the poster of aHollywood film but beyond that, there aren't any other similarities, said the producer. Says Denzil Dias, the Deputy Managing Director of Warner Bros. Picture India, ÂThe movie is a refreshing and humorous take on something we have always faced in our lives - a guest that never leaves!Â
ÂAtithi Tum Kab Jaaoge? is produced under Warner Bros. Pictures India along with Amita PathakÂs banner Wide Frame Films. Amita Pathak is daughter of Kumar Mangat and this movie is her first production venture.
The movie is to be shot in around 50 days in Yashraj Studios and other locales in Mumbai.
Directed by Ashwni Dhir, ÂAtithi Tum Kab Jaaoge? tells the story of a married couple whose life is troubled by an unwanted guest and his prolonged stay in their home. And as the title denotes one can predict the crux of the story While Ajay and Konkona play the couple, Paresh Rawal does the character of the guest.
The Atithi is awaited to come on 26th February!
