Actor and activist Chetan Kumar (of Aaa Dinagalu fame) new release on last Friday ‘Athiratha’ faced stiff opposition from pro Hindu association for the actor anti stand on Hinduism.

Actor Chetan Kumar has spoken against the Hindu religion and Swamijis in the past. This film should not be released was the protest.

In the social media also there are some charges on the stand expressed by Chetan Kumar. Whether his cinema and Dharma connected is right or wrong is the question.

At an emergency media meet on Sunday evening Chetan Kumar stated ‘I am not Hinduism protestor’. I have great respect and it is most important, I respect it. I have come up in life reading the Ramayana and Mahabharatha. I have even done mono acting in my school of epic characters. I like the variety and philosophy of Hinduism. I have condemned only the violence in the name of Hinduism.

The violence with religion in forefront, I condemn it. This is anti constitutional. I always vouched for equality and harmony dreamer in life.

There is ample opportunity for discussion. Instead of that disturbing my film ‘Athiratha’, I condemn such protestors stated Chetan Kumar in his address.
