Disney+ Hotstar's upcoming show 'Mathagam' marks the maiden series for actors Atharvaa Murali and Manikandan. It is a crime thriller series directed by Prasath Murugesan of "Kidaari" and "Queen" fame and produced by Screen Scene Media Entertainment. The show's official trailer is out now.

The 2.5-minute video shows a gripping battle between the cops and a crime syndicate. The series seems to be centred around a major event referred to as a "party." The entire story chronicles the events unfolding within 30 hours. Mathagam is all about the night of the "party." We are also introduced to the pivotal characters of the show in the trailer.

IPS Officer Ashwath (Atharvaa) is set out to stop an evil mastermind (Manikandan) from destroying the city with organized economic crimes. "Mathagam" refers to the forehead of an elephant. The series also stars Gautham Vasudev Menon, Nikhila Vimal, Divyadarshini, Ilavarasu, Vadivukarasi, Moonar Ramesh, and others.

Mathagam trailer has sharp dialogues and a promising premise. On the other hand, Darbuka Siva's impressive musical score, Edwin Sakay's rich visuals and Praveen Antony's brilliant cuts stir the excitement more.
