As we all know, producer Kalaipuli.S.Thanu is presently the two biggest films in Tamil cinema. One if Superstar Rajinikanth`s Kabali` and the other is Theri` with Vijay.

Amid these two he is also producing a film with a newcomer director and a hero who has a relatively lesser star value. In 2013, Thanu started producing Kanithan` directed by debutante T.N.Santosh, with Atharvaa and Catherine Thresa in lead roles.

Sources reveal that the progress of the film has been resumed with new vigor after the super hit success of the latest Atharvaa starrer Eetti`. The trailer that was released on Christmas day has succeeded in making a positive impact about the film, in the mind`s audience.

Plans are afoot to release the film in February 2016 while Theri` has been scheduled to hit the screens on April 14 and Kabali` on May 1.
