Atharvaa is the son of the late actor Murali who has two other siblings sister Kaavya and brother Akash.  A piece of news has started circulating that Akash is in love with a close relative of Thalapathy Vijay and is planning to tie the knot soon.  It is also said that the girl who has directed a film a few years back is a Christian and Akash is a Hindu and Atharvaa spoke on behalf of his brother to convince the family.

The buzz has it that the two families have come to an understanding and wedding bells will be heard soon.  Kollywood insiders are rejoicing that through this alliance Vijay and Atharvaa would become close relatives.  We will have to wait for official word regarding this news from unconfirmed sources.

On the professional front, Vijay is awaiting for the release of his 'Bigil' directed by Atlee on Diwali and has started filming 'Thalapathy 64' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and costarring Vijay Sethupathi.  Atharvaa meanwhile has his hands full juggling multiple projects including 'Kuruthi Attam' and Oththaikku Othai'.
