Director Bala`s production venture Chandi Veeran` directed by Sargunam and starring Atharvaa and Kayal Ananthi has got good reviews from the critics as well as the audiences for tackling the issue of water scarcity.

Chandi Veeran`, however, has been banned in Singapore as the censor board officials there found the scenes that show the Singaporean punishment (rotha) to overstaying foreigners objectionable.
