Tamil directors have always had a soft corner for casting villains from Bollywood. Some examples that come to the mind are Thala Ajith’s ‘Vivegam’ which starred Vivek Oberoi, Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Kaththi’ which starred Neil Nithin Mukesh and Rajinikanth’s ‘2.0’ which has Akshay Kumar.

Jumping the bandwagon is noted actor Upen Patel will be the antogonist for the Atharvaa-Megha Aakash starring film directed by R.Kannan. Regarding this the director Kannan stated that Upen Patel will be the right fit for the script which is challenging and has a strong villain character.

“The intensity and the scope for this character is very big. Teh climax sequences between Atharvaa and Upen Patel will be the highlight of the movie,” Kannan said. Atharvaa and Upen don't only look dashing with their boyish charms but also seem to have the potential to make befitting rivals on the screen.

The film also has an ensemble cast of R.J.Balaji, Sathish and Suhasini Maniratnam. Radhan of ‘Arjun Reddy’ fame will be composingthe music for the film. Prasanna.S.Kumar is the lensman for the film while R.K.Selva is in charge of editing. Teh much awaited project will go on floors on January 19th.
