Asuravithu
A K Saajan is popular in Mollywood as the scenarist of films like Butterflies, Kashmeeram, Janathipathyam, Chinthamani Kolacase, Red Chillies and Drona. He had also directed a couple of movies, the first being the very first action hit of Prithviraj 'Stop violence' and that 'Lanka' which was discussed much for all the wrong reasons. The writer- director A K Saajan is now back after a gap, to showcase himself with a new movie. Titled as 'Asuravithu', the movie features the new sensation Asif Ali with Samvutha Sunil as the heroine.
The movie 'Asuravithu' tells the the story of a young man named Don Bosco played by Asif Ali who is riding high after the success of Salt N' Pepper and Violin. After a terrible and unhappy childhood, Don Bosco is now in search of a peaceful life. Though intensely religious and good mannered, he is always followed by problems from which he likes to escape somehow. And for that he joins a seminary in the intention of becoming a priest. Don Bosco also pursues his studies in the polytechnic even while studying biblical literature. But within a short time there, he realises that he is not meant to be a priest. An incident for which he becomes a witness also provokes him to jump out of the seminary and to deal the happenings as a commoner. This decision changes his life forever.
A differently made movie that may not confirm to the demands of the family audience, 'AsuraVithu' will have Samvrutha as a boat owner named Martina a.k.a. Marty, who also works in it as a conductor. A bold and bubbly girl, Samvrutha's character is also an artist whose past time is to help the police to sketch the culprits, with the help of eyewitness accounts.
Asif Ali's central character will have various shades to it, that will help him to avoid being repetitive. The movie also features Siddique, Vijayaraghavan, Biju Menon,Jagathy Sreekumar, Harisree Asokan, Lena and Ganapathy in other important roles.
'Asuravithu' will be cinematographed by Vishnu Narayan. Alphonse Joseph and Rajesh Mohan are in charge of the music department of the movie which is fast progressing in and around Kochy.
'Asuravithu' is being produced by Shaji Thanaparambil under the banner of Leela Creations.
