'Asuran' remake: Venkatesh's director is a question

It has been about two weeks since D Suresh Babu bought the remake rights of the Tamil hit 'Asuran'. The original was directed by Vetri Maaran, one of the most acclaimed directors of the generation.
But who is going to direct the Telugu remake? Unfortunately, there is no clear answer as yet. At least in the public domain. Funnily enough, a range of names has been heard in this context.
Sections of media have reported that Hanu Raghavapudi of 'Andala Rakshasi' fame will wield the megaphone. Srikanth Addala's name has also been heard. Notably, these two directors are going through a low phase. The former has delivered 'LIE' and 'Padi Padi Leche Manasu' and is not disposed to do remakes. Same goes for Addala, whose 'Brahmotsavam' was a disaster in 2016.
A third name has been mentioned by some unverified reports: Ohmkar. For all we know, he was never approached. If anything, he would be a hilarious choice.
Since the subject of 'Asuran' is heavy, only a director with unique sensibilities must be roped in.
