Dhanush's blockbuster hit movie the first in Tamil cinema to get Chinese remake

Dhanush already holds the record of being the only actor among the current generation to have acted in three straight Hindi films as hero and has also gone international with 'The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir'. Further evidence of Dhanush's global appeal has appeared in the form of Chinese producers getting ready to remake his latest critically acclaimed blockbuster hit movie 'Asuran'.

Industry sources have stated that a big Chinese production house has approached for the remake right of 'Asuran' as they were too impressed by the subject and the acting. Usually films like 'Baahubali' and Superstar Rajinikanth's '2.0' have been dubbed in Chinese but this is the very first time in Tamil cinema that is likely to be remade. Confirmation is likely after the COVID 19 lockdown when it will become official.

'Asuran' directed by Vettrimaaran with music score by G.V. Prakash Kumar has Dhanush and Manju Warrier as the lead pair with Ken Karunaas, Pasupathy and Theejay in supporting roles.
