What happened in Tamil Nadu is tragic. A movie assistant director named Gandhi Lalithkumar had on Monday committed suicide by setting himself on fire after accusing Kollywood starlet Nilani of promising to marry him and later refusing to do so. When cops went to Nilani's house in Valasaravakkam to inquire, only her children were there and news broke out that she is absconding.

Later on, Nilani gave a petition to the Chennai Police Commissioner stating that she has nothing to do with Gandhi's suicide and that he used to exhibit psychopathic behaviour and that's why she rejected his marriage proposal after several complaints to the police.

Nilani has further made the shocking allegation that Gandhi Lalithkumar was a womanizer and had gone to jail several times because of his shenanigans. In one such incident, Nilani said, he lost his manhood when electric shock was administered to him by the police. She has claimed that he used to scorch her body with a burning cigarette.

In the press meet, Nilani also alleged that Gandhi had made life miserable for her by threatening to kill her two months before he committed suicide.
