In spite of the coronavirus situation the so-called modern culture among rich youngsters continues without any change especially night partying. On Saturday night traffic inspector Mariappan was on duty at the Thiruvanmiyur junction when a car came at high speed and he stopped it for a routine check.
Seshu Prasad the driver of the car who was software engineer living in Indra Nagar in Adayar was fully drunk and when the questioning was going on Kamini aged 28 who was in the vehicle and also equally drunk started creating a ruckus with the cops.
A video captured by onlookers show Kamini using abusive language against the policeman and later even going to the extent of kicking him in her inebriated condition. Mariappan procured their addresses and let them go that night but filed a complaint at the All Women's Police Station in Adyar.
On Sunday the police arrested Kamini who claimed to be an assistant director in Kollywood film industry and Seshu Prasad and produced them in the Saidapet court and remanded them for fifteen days. The duo have been booked under Sections 294(b) (obscene language), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), and 353 (assault or criminal force to deter a public servant from discharge of his duty
