‘Kanchana-3’ will be in competition with ‘Jersey’ from tomorrow (April 19). The two films belong to contrasting genres. While the former is a horror-comedy with Tamil flavour, the latter is a cricket-based family drama.
As things stand, the Nani film is walking away with all the pre-release buzz in urban centres. Also, the scale of its release is huge. Worldwide, the flick is arriving in as many as 1000 screens.
Tagore Madhu is the producer of the Telugu version of ‘Kanchana-3’. The Raghava Lawrence flick has the advantage of recall value. The ‘Kanchana’ films have their own fan base. However, the film needs to withstand the force of ‘Jersey’ and rake in more than Rs 18 Cr. Given its genre, it stands good chances across all centres if the content is solid.
