Asin has her hands full

Asin is perhaps the busiest heroine in Tamil cinema today. With movies opposite Kamal Haasan, Ajith and Vijay, she is busy shooting day and night. Asin, the bubbly actor from the God's Own Country, is acting with Vijay in Pokiri, Ajith in Aalwar and with Kamal Haasan in Dasavatharam.

When asked about the big gap after Maja, Asin says, “I could not find any good offers coming my way after Maja. Fortunately, the latter half of this year has brought me good movies.”

When asked to comment on her roles, Asin says, “In Aalwar, I play Priya, a college student. It is a bubbly and enthusiastic role.”

“In Pokiri, I play an arrogant and fun-loving girl, Sruthi. Audience will surely like my mannerisms in the movies.”

However, she chose to remain tight-lipped about her character in Dasavatharam.

On acting with Ajith and Vijay simultaneously, she says, “Both are good in their own ways.” Having acted earlier with them (with Ajith in Varalaru and with Vijay in Sivakasi), she says, “I never felt tense acting with such big stars. I was rather comfortable on the sets and shared lighter moments with both the actors.”

Asin hopes that she would continue to do hit movies in all south Indian languages and establish a strong place for herself in the industry.
