Asin celebrates Onam with B-town pals

Asin is celebrating the 10 day harvest festival, Onam, in Mumbai. Although busy with shoot of various films, she made it a point to celebrate this fiesta in her own way in Mumbai. It was not a bravura celebration like the one down south but a get together with close friends at home accompanied by the customary food Sadhya for her pals and flower carpet Pookalam at her house. Later in the day she spent time with her family & friends watching Onam special shows on TV.

Like every year she sent out Onam delicacies to her friends in the industry - Sajid Khan, Sonam Kapoor and Jacqueline!

It is said that during Asin's childhood she used to take part in the traditional dance 'Thiruvaathira Kali' where she would perform with the other girls from the neighborhood!

The pretty damsel who made it big in the south is yet to sign on a Tamil - Telugu film.
