It looks like Mollywood’s favorite actor Asif Ali will have his hands full in 2020. The actor who has sported a variety of characters in movies last year is all set to don a new avatar.

The actor will be playing a cop in director Rajeev Ravi's next after 'Thuramukham.' Touted to be a survival story of a cop, the movie will be shot primarily in North India by the mid of this month. The movie, which will be based on real-life incidents, also stars Sunny Wayne, Alencier Ley Lopez, Manikandan Achari and Sharafudheen in important roles.

Meanwhile, Rajeev has wrapped up the filming of his much-awaited Nivin Pauly starrer 'Thuramukham'. Touted to be a period thriller set in the 30s and 40s, the movie will revolve around the popular protests against the inhuman 'Chappa' system, a work guarantee scheme practiced in the Cochin harbor. The movie's first look poster was unveiled recently and had generated a huge buzz. The film, which also has Indrajith and Nimisha Sajayan in important roles, is expected to hit theatres soon.
