Arun Kumar Aravind who has directed some highly acclaimed movies such as Cocktail, Ee Adutha Kaalath and Left Right Left, has been away from movies for quite some time. Much to the delight of the Malayali audiences, the director is making a comeback now with a revenge drama starring Asif Ali and Murali Gopy in the lead roles.

Recently, the director himself has revealed the title of the film — Kaatu and the first look poster through his official Facebook page. The first look poster features a man riding a bicycle with a kid in the front. Touted to be a rustic revenge drama, the story is set in a village in rural Kerala.

Written by noted writer-media person P. Ananthapadmanabhan, son of legendary writer-director P. Padmarajan, the story is being written with the characters created by Padmarajan in one of his short stories. Deepak Dev will be scoring the music for Kaattu. Produced under the banner Karmayug films, Kaattu is expected to start rolling by May this year.
