Popular filmmaker Ashwin Saravanan got married to his writer and long time lover Kaavya Ramkumar in Pondicherry today. He shared pictures of the private wedding attended only by close family members and friends.

Ashwin wrote "It started with pen and paper. It has ended in poetry... Kaavya Ramkumar, thank you for riding out the storm with me every single time. Doing this with you, especially during the third wave, was an adventure by itself."

Ashwin Saravanan rose to fame with the pathbreaking horror film 'Maya' (2015) starring Nayanthara that was one of the first female centric films to become a blockbuster hit. He followed it up with the multilingual hit film 'Game Over' starring Tapsee Pannu which Kaavya cowrote.

Ashwin and Kaavya have also collaborated in Nayanthara's upcoming film 'Connect' produced by Vignesh Shivan which also has Anupam Kher and Sathyaraj in supporting characters.
