One can pretty much sense that a film like 'Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se', which has a period setting to is, is something that comes natural to Gowariker. With critical and commercial successes like 'Lagaan' and 'Jodhaa Akbar' behind him, a film like 'Khelein Hum...' appears akin to getting into a comfortable territory for Gowariker.

"Well, if I was remaking my own 'Jodhaa Akbar' then perhaps even I would have said that I am working in a familiar and comfortable zone. Reason being that I would had gone through the experience and challenge already and would just have been doing it all over again. However, this is certainly not the case with 'Khelein Hum...' as it is an altogether new subject. It came with its own set of challenges", reasons Gowariker.

A period thriller, this Abhishek Bachchan-Deepika Padukone starrer is based on the book 'Do and Die: The Chittagong Uprising 1930-34' by Manini Chatterjee. The film is set in 1930 when a group of 64 people started a revolution in Chittagong.

Also starring Sikandar Kher and Vishakha Singh, 'Khelein Hum...' has music by Sohail Sen and releases all over on 3rd December.
